Easy and Powerful Notcher for Thicker Rule

Helmold has engineered this new E-Z Heavy Duty Notcher with a new toggle handle design that gives you far greater working force for your effort. Their new E-Z handles also have ergonomic, variable hand positioning that accommodates any working height and angle you personally find comfortable and convenient.

They have also redesigned the notching mechanism on this tool so you can resharpen and re-use male and female knives many more times – and still achieve perfectly aligned bridges. With just a twist of the
bolts, you can remove the knife for sharpening and reinsert the sharpened tool. This modification can save you money by significantly extending the life of your knives.

The Helmold E-Z Heavy Duty Notcher comes with either a 2-hole or 4-hole female house. The 2-hole version is designed to easily notch rule up to 6 pt. hard, 8 pt. soft, or rotary rule. The 4-hole version will easily notch 2, 3 and 4 pt. rule and works with pre-bent materials. The small housing on the 4-hole style make it a versatile and necessary tool for most die shops.

Standard notch sizes for this tool are shown below. Special sizes can be made to order.

If you are ordering the 2-hole style for notching rotary rule, please specify “relieved.” Shipping weight is 69 lbs. For best results, keep your knives sharp.
